Homeschool Nature Programs—Calgary & Cochrane

Our family had a late start to homeschooling. My boys were junior high students trying to fit into the brick and mortar schooling system. My one son has ADD, and I have seen first-hand the benefits of letting kids learn in an outdoor environment, be physically active, and not stuck sitting at a desk.

I’ve now combined my writing, interpretive guiding, and parenting experience to provide Homeschool Nature Programming for families in the Calgary and Cochrane area.

Typical Homeschool Programs

Homeschool Nature Programs are delivered during the academic year and are tailored to meet a variety of curriculum objectives:

  • Physical Education & Instruction – hiking, skiing, snowshoeing
  • Social Studies – an introduction to human history in the Rockies
  • Environmental Studies – flora and fauna, ecosystems, and geology
  • Outdoor Education – hiking skills, outdoor safety, leave-no-trace practices

Please contact me to discuss.
