Paget Lookout,

with an Option to Continue to Sherbrooke Lake

About the Hike:

You will require a vehicle to meet me at these trailheads.

Prepare for a unique hiking opportunity in Yoho National Park, where history, adventure, and stunning views blend seamlessly. We’ll explore a piece of Canadian Rockies history and be rewarded with views of the surrounding peaks.

The first kilometre of our trail overlaps with the scenic Sherbrooke Lake trail, offering a gentle introduction to our journey.

We will begin hiking on the well-worn trail for around 3.5 km as we head to the Paget Fire Lookout.

Together, we will step back in time as we explore the historic lookout and discover the fascinating life of a Parks Canada Fire Warden.

After some historic exploration, we’ll take a well-deserved break for lunch, soaking in the breathtaking views towards Lake O’Hara and the charming town of Field, British Columbia.

For those who still have some energy left, we have the option to stop at one of Yoho’s best-kept secrets, Sherbrooke Lake.
